Paolo Biondi, founder and managing director of Ba.Bi. Srl, began his activity in the leather field in Santa Croce sull'Arno in 1973 , by working with the most important German representatives such as Universal Bossert Gmbh and Schmenger company.
In 1978, the dynamic and enterprising spirit of Paolo Biondi showed itself with the establishment in Vicenza province of Bipel Pelli, with which he has carried out the activity of representation and trade of leather for more than 25 years in Europe.After the historical tannery Valdalpone, Mr.Biondi has been one of the pioneers in the eighties in selling made in Italy leather all over the Northern Europe, by asserting himself on the German, Swiss, Dutch and Scandinavian market
In the years between 1989 and 2005, Bipel pelli company used to sell about 450/500.000 square meters of leather monthly.
In 2005 Mr. Biondi retired from the company as life choice by selling it to third parties and by making his own experience in the field available, exclusively as external consultant. In 2009, he decided to start a new activity by means of his real estate company Ba.Bi. Immobiliare srl established in 1991, by including the trading of leather in the corporate subject among the several real estate activities.
Presently, Ba.Bi. srl carries out its activity exclusively in the leather sector, cwith about the 90% of its own production and the 10% of representation, without neglecting the real estates initiatives.
Between 2009 and the beginning of 2010, Mr. Biondi has backed up his own sons in the company structure and in its management. This period of generation support coincided with other important novelties, such as the acquisition of Bipel pelli quality trademark and the arrival of new collaborators who are placed side by side to the skilled ones already present in the company, one in the administration sector and the other in the marketing sector.
By using the most state-of-the-art technologiesof the tannery sector, Ba.Bi. srl distributes in Europe and in the world more than 1,200,000 square meters yearly only and exclusively reserved to the sector of the upholstered furniture.

The jewel in the crown is represented by a storehouse with more than 500,000 square meters of semi finished leather that may meet the needs of any customer in the sector of upholstered furniture, footwear and leather goods.
Besides manufacturing finished hides, Ba.Bi stands out by offering its dealers, agents and tanners of the area the possibility to purchase any quantity of wet blue hides abroad (Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and other latin-American countries) and of course buffalos (Indian, Pakistan, Nepalese, Egyptian, Campanian).
This allows the Italian customer to:
- purchase any quantity of leather by avoiding to undertake the import of a container from the origin;
- to personally choose the semi finished leather in Ba.Bi storehouse;
Ba.Bi purchases, transports, clears through customs, finances, plasters, sands and controls YOUR SEMI FINISHED LEATHER.
